Hi!

A couple of friends and I are putting together a shortt radio play for Harry Potter. We have the cast worked out, but would love some more people for future projects!
If interested, please email me at

Is this fan fiction, or a dramatization of the series?

Right now we're focussing on chap 2 of HBP as a sort of test. But for future projects, FF will be our main focus!

Sounds pretty cool. I like Harry Potter fanfiction. Where are you going to stream it?

I run a podcast called the Inklings. It's a fantasy podcast and we're on itunes and podomatic. That is where we are going to have it.

What sort of fan fiction?

Like I was thinking one that incorporates all characters and one that would be good for the radio play medium. Any ideas?

Well, you have nearly two decades between the end of book 7 and its epelogue to work with. What exactly did Harry and the other characters do upon Voldimort's defeat? You could also take the series in a darker or more serious direction. Depends on how creative and ambitious your writer or writers are.

I dont much like next gen fic, so maybe take it in a darker direction? I happen to like darkfic.

There's a lot you could do with a darker world. There's a lot under the surface of this world which just screams sinister.

Agreed, as long as it has a relatively happy ending!

Dark stories don't all have to have dreary endings. What's important is to make the ending believable. Fanfiction isn't taken very seriously as a general rule, but it does allow for creative people to take a break from their own ideas during bouts of writer's block.

Yeah, but5 I've seen some pretty dark fics with no happy endings before. I agree fanfiction isn't taken seriously, but my question is why do so many people write it then?

I've been asking myself that for years. Probably because it's fun for them. Perhaps because it allows them to write without making up elaborate backdrops for their writing. Or maybe it's merely to keep a series alive and point it in a direction they want it to go.

I happen to like ff, but you can still help if you want!

anyone who wants to help, please add me to skype!
Our scriptwriter just added in some characters, so we need more people!

If you check out my work posted in the broadcaster's lounge and think I'd be useful, I wouldn't mind helping out. I suppose I should have mentioned that sooner.

This project is at a stand still until I get the script.
Just thought I'd let everyone know.
